Musical and General director.

 Tomás Torres, born in Neguá, mining population of the municipality of Quibdó, Chocó. Invaluable prophet of the folklore, the music and the afrochocoan song. Formed integrally as anthropologist of the National University, what allows him to enjoy a very enriched vision of the chocoan culture. Linked to the group of Cantos y Danzas del Choco from 1976 as musician, assuming General Director's position from 1986. They are more than 20 years of faithful, constant and almost religious dedication to a group that, without a doubt, it is already part of their soul.

Artistic coordinator

 Ketty Valoyes, born in Quibdó, Chocó. She began as dancer in the group and for more than ten years. She has been an example of perseverance and firmness what has taken it to become teacher and investigator of the folklore and the chocoana culture. Her contribution has took to the artistic qualification of the group and the improvement of its dance style.

Composed by students, old students, professors and employees of the National University of Colombia, besides a nurtured group of companies, that is to say, people that come from the Pacífic Coast or that they possess enough cultural knowledge of the reason and whose cultural contributions can enrich the cultural baggage of the group.
