Musical Group
The Group of Cantos y Danzas del Choco is accompanied musically by a " Chirimía ", conformed by five musicians who interpret the following instruments:
The Clarinet
Instrument of wind of European origin. Their melody voice singer's times ago."
The Copper or Bombardino
Instrument of wind. Faithful companion of the Clarinet.
The Plates
Copied percussion instrument of the bands of war, the one which, amid their acculturation, it is elaborated at the moment in brass for the Chirimía. Their function is the one of contributing " shine " to the musical group.
The Tambora
I orchestrate percussion membranófono that has their origins in the primitive African drums that used to use as media and they had a great importance in ceremonies and rituals. This is the one in charge of to take the rhythm and to mark the compasses.
Redoblante or Requinta
Percussion instrument in charge of maintaining the rhythm that prints the tambora, has been assimilated of the bands of war.
PROGRAM
The group will be able to present the following dances which have an approximate duration of four minutes each one. These will be selected to form a program of 45 minutes, with their respective intermissions.
